    Can anyone explain to me what happened on that fly ball to Suzuki. He called the CF off and seemed to be there and then just forgot that the last step was to actually catch the ball...

    I felt like the tone was set the first drive of the game. A good team should be able to gain one yard on 3rd and 4th and 1. Put your biggest back in there and get the first down...tried to get too cute. I am cautiously optimistic this season will be better than the last, but that was not a good start...and the schedule doesn't get any easier. Thoughts?

    I need to have a roadtrip to see all the Cubbie MiLB teams. Iowa and SB aren't too far for me. Myrtle Beach may be a bit harder.

    Two thoughts: I am so happy my wife had me watch Rebels before Ahsoka...can't wait to see Ezra and Thrawn again...as real actors. I remember the excitement when Da Bears won the Super Bowl and the same feeling in 2016 when it was the Cubbies. I feel some of the same watching this team...whatever happens and however far they go, I am just going to enjoy it, this time with my son...whatever happens it has been a fun season.

    Ya, he's not on the 40 man roster. I agree with you. I thought it was a stretch for someone to make the argument he should be on the active roster. The same person thought they should send Suzuki to Iowa, so... It's easy to say do this or that. I guess my main question was, if he were to be added to the 40 man or active roster, who do you remove?

    Go IU! Maybe my alma mater can get an invite to the prestigious Famous Idaho Potato Bowl at 5-7...*disclaimer - I have no idea what conferences have tie-ins to the Potato Bowl...

    Thanks. I guess if it were someone doesn't do away games or no Sundays and was like that consistently, it would make more sense to me, but it seems to be random. I live near St Louis, so have to get a free trial of Fubo or find a way to listen to the radio broadcast to avoid to listening to Chip Carey and the Cards announcers. AND...at least it is not A-Rod. He's horrible.

    I saw a comment on a FB fan group which stated they thought David Bote should be on the active roster. Bote has had some great moments with the Cubs, and seems to be the man left out with the current players and roster. I don't see a path back to Wrigley for him in the near future. Do you agree or disagree? If you think he should be playing for the Cubs, as the person on the fan group argued, who does he replace? Thanks. Go Cubs Go!

    Can anyone tell me why Marquee Sports rotates so many different announcers for Cub games? I like the chemistry and banter between JD and Boog. Sutcliffe is my least favorite, but Joe Girardi is a close second...he doesn't seem to get the jokes or obscure references that JD is able to comprehend and comment on. I guess I like that the main guys do a great job AND don't take themselves too seriously. Just my opinion, and I am sure some will disagree...no offense intended.

    Die-Hard Cub fan living in the middle if enemy territory...once met my childhood hero, Ryno, and asked him if I could get a pic. He must have heard something else, because he turned and walked away quickly, and now security eyes me closely when I go to Wrigley or Sloan Park.
