There’s that Big XII defense I remember.  I have to believe TCU’s slipped a little this year rather than the Buffs being good.

Surely they've slipped from NC game level, but this is still a shocking loss at home

Still super impressive coming off a 1-10 season with significant turnover on the road against what is probably still a solid team

I'm sure Ohio State puts up 35 in the second half, but seeing Buckeye fans seeth on Twitter over this 7-3 score will be fun whilet it lasts

No doubt.  But the fact that Prime was able to pull all of those newcomers together on the road Week 1 makes me really question what TCU is going to be this year.

I appreciate that Illinois is going for a tougher non-conference slate this season, but it definitely gives very little margin for error to start off the season slowly. Finally starting to look good right now going into the 4th.

That finish was such a roller coaster

I don’t understand how anyone isn’t completely impressed with what Colorado did yesterday. Of course they’re not going to the playoff but goddamn they got some talent on that team and Prime pulled them together in record time. 86 new players on the roster? That’s insane.

I knew Colorado was going to win. The QB position is extremely important (news flash) even in college. And even with those 86 new players, Deion carried his QB/son with him. TCU was breaking in a new QB, and I think I heard 8 new starters on offense. So Colorado had continuity at the most important position.

Also, I think people dismissed Shedeur and maybe even Travis because they were playing weak competition at Jackson St. But you're still talking about a 4-star QB and the top recruit in the nation. These dudes could have gone anywhere they wanted. And Deion didn't bring scrubs with him in the portal or his recruiting class. They are a very talented team. They will likely lose 3-4 games this year, but it won't be from lack of talent.

***Side Note- I think the QB thing will make a big difference at the top of the rankings. Michigan is the only team that isn't breaking in a new QB in the top 4. And a couple of the top teams are starting off playing 2 QBs.

The RB who scored 4 TDs flipped from Notre Dame right after Deion went there. Hard to complain about what they have at that position, but still a little sobering.

If I’m not mistaken the TCU QB was their starter at the beginning of last season before Duggan took over due to injury.

Correct. But he got hurt like 2nd quarter of the 1st game. And they had to replace NFL players at WR, RB, and on the OL.

Every time an SEC team plays an actually good non-conference team (and gets smoked doing it), an angel gets its wings

The SEC plays one of the top teams in a kickoff classic game every single year-Oregon, FSU, Clemson, Texas, to name a few.

That said, it is very nice to watch LSU get smoked.  Daniels at QB is ok but not great, but these dolts here thought he was winning the Heisman.  This team has Peach Bowl vibes.  The SEC West is wide open.

it's just great to see Kelly lose. He's such an ass.

Especially after he was on local TV last week guaranteeing a win against FSU.  Their secondary is trash.  Any team with good QB and WRs can torch them.

I honestly don't root against Kelly, but that being said, seeing that early sequence where they had first and goal, went shotgun 4 straight times, wasted a timeout because the play clock was running out on 4th down, and then came out of the timeout with a horrific play call that failed miserably was like saying hi to an old friend.
