PSD users, give your feedback

We're always looking to expand our coverage or make things better for users here at NSBB. What things would you like to see on the site, were there things you really liked about PSD that aren't here?

Any commentary and/or suggestions are welcome.

I already know about Tapatalk so let's not focus on that. It's just not a feasible option here, NSBB is too large and comprehensive to work within Tapatalk's framework. It's far more likely we someday launch a standalone app.

Let’s here what the pcp users want

- signing users up by default for your newsletters to be sent to our email is annoying and not a good way to ingratiate yourself to new users.

- new threads created in the forum whenever a new article is posted is a turn off and clutters up the Cubs talk sub-forum.  I'd suggest putting those threads in their own section of the forum.

- Too many threads in the Cubs talk forum.  Also, all that's needed is a single gameday thread, or at worst a new thread every series or every month.  The fewer the better IMO.

This is something that power users often like but also helps lead to the death of communities. They become so insular and impenetrable with miles-long threads that no new user can or will read.

More frequent, shorter threads lead to better long-term community health. And I say this as a person who has both run a community into the ground for making these mistakes and a person who learned their lesson and has revived/built multiple communities now.
