It puts the Cubs closer to a must-win situation as they put Stroman on the mound today and Justin Steele tomorrow.

It would help if JD didn't take 30 games off every year.  I still say get rid of all of them and hire 2 guys who can be together for a majority of the broadcasts.

I don't know what they're doing with the booth. Girardi and Sutcliffe suck. Three-man booths suck. Boog is off doing national stuff far too often (because I'm sure it pays way better).

You're probably not going to get around the occasional national game.  Any top tier broadcaster isn't going to take a job with a team unless they allow him do the national gigs.  But that doesn't stop them from at least stabilizing the 2nd guy in the booth and getting rid of the rotating 2nd/3rd chair.
