The Pirates appear to be turning back into a pumpkin and are falling down the standings. It would require a Cubs sweep to take third place from them but given how Pittsburgh has played, a sweep is very possible.

Of course, the stereotypically Cubs thing that could happen here is that they get swept by the Pirates.

There's something about a Cubs 4, Pirates 0 scoreline in Pittsburgh that gives me a little extra joy than normal.

Hard to criticize Madrigal for swinging at that last one. The ump’s strike zone just seemed to be getting wider and wider.

Is it just me or have we seem a lot of wide zones lately?  Almost feels like umps have collectively decided to expand the strike zone by a couple of inches just for fun.
