When Cassie gets them, he sometimes really hits them!  Interesting that yesterday was on a pitch, top of the strike zone or else a little above it, this one a low strike.

Frankling lifted after 5 innings, but at only 53 pitches.  I think he got through the 4th at only 37 pitches.  2 walks, 1 wild pitch, and 1 single is it.  The strike-throwing version of Franklin is pretty interesting.

I’m assuming he’s on a pitch count because he’s on 4 days rest which is rare nowadays in the minors and is reserved for only one pitcher a week (Tuesday/Sunday starter).

With Monday night's blast, Jefferson Rojas is now tied for the EXST Cubs team lead in HR with Anderson Suriel (both have hit four), in addition to leading the team in hits, RBI, RUNS, and SB. He is also second on the team in doubles.

J. Rojas plays primarily shortstop (he has played 19 games at SS, four games at 2B, and four games at 3B), and he has committed just two errors in the field (both throwing errors), none since April 25th.

Rojas is projected to be one of the top three prospects in the ACL in 2023, along with C Ethan Salas (SD) and OF Josue de Paula (LAD).

Ethan Salas just made his debut for the Padres Low A squad as a 16 year old (turns 17 tomorrow), so he's skipped right over the ACL.  He's gonna be a monster if he stays healthy.
