PCA out of the lineup once again tonight.

Announcer just said he has a cold of some sort. No injury.

Final Ben Brown line: 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 9 K, 1 HR.

Two of the hits were infield singles, one a bunt.

And another was a jam-shot blooper into short RF. The HR was obviously struck well, but they weren’t squaring him up at all. 75ish pitches in those 6 pitches as well. Very impressive.

I assumed that Amaya would be up for the job offensively at Tenn but yeesh.  I assume he'll be at Iowa once he's knocked enough rust off on defense that they'd be comfortable pressing him into MLB service if there were an injury.

And wowza Ben Brown

Can Amaya develop into a good enough bat that he's a viable DH? And not like a Torrens caliber DH, but like a Cliff Floyd level bat who can fake it at Catcher?  https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/f/floydcl01.shtml

Amaya actually has a good defensive reputation. It’s fair to wait and see how the defense is now after missing nearly 3 years of defensive reps plus injuries that might make him regress physically, but before TJS, he had a good rep as a game caller/leader and did well with base runners.
