Not as exciting because the Cubs will probably suck but worth it for planning trips. Highlights:

  • Boston comes to Wrigley for the first time in 10 years (the last 2 BOS/CHC series have been at Fenway) and the 3rd time ever in interleague play July 1-3.

Similarly, the Cubs go to New Yankee Stadium for the second time ever (regular season at least) and first since 2014, and 3rd interleague road series against the Yankees on June 10-12

White Sox and Cubs go back to two 2 game series split up, but both in May

Cubs open the season in Cincinnati with that stupid parade

Cubs end the season at Wrigley against those same Reds

My annual trip was going to be to the Boston series last year before, you know. Doubt I'll plan it there this time with it falling on the 4th weekend.

Obviously the offseason will change this a lot, but that looks like a very balanced schedule. Late April into early May is gonna be kind of rough, as is the first half of July, but even those have plenty of home games and some Pirates and Orioles mixed in. Very different from this year where May was kind of a joke and June was BRUTAL.

There are a couple spots where it's like Good Team - Cardinals/Reds - Good team, so if either of those teams has a huge offseason it could change the complexion of the schedule significantly.

looking forward to seeing them at the new yankee stadium. went there for the first time since it opened in late june (ohtani was pitching for the angels, lasted less than an inning) and liked it better the second time around.
