The Cardinals don't really have an option to sell off. Of their 5 pending free agents, 3 - Molina, Wainwright and Carpenter - have their 5 and 10, Martinez just had thumb surgery and is likely out for the year, and Miller isn't likely to net anything worth doing.

 

So they might as well grab another starter and see if they can hang around a mediocre Brewers team.
