Joc looked awful all night, Rizzoli had a terrible AB in a huge spot, and like someone said, we never adjusted to the offspeed stuff.

 

And Alzolay should have been done after 6. Missed a lot of spots the last couple of innings, starting with the slider to Thomas that drove in the first run.

And he batted in the bottom of the 6th. It’d still be a little odd to keep him in there if his spot wasn’t due up but it was so it’s even more strange in a tie game. Yes he came up with 2 outs and no one on. Yes he just retired Goldschmidt and Arenado to end the last inning. But I feel like Ross was really pressing his luck.

Joc chased one of the highest pitches I've ever seen be offered at. On GD it registered as being up and in, if another entire strike zone were placed atop the real one.

 

That pitch was literally eye level.
