TMan is literally watching the other two games instead of this one. I can't imagine living my life as a fan that way

Nobody tell him about...modern technology, I guess.

Does...does Derwood really think people talking about the other games are intently watching them and not just checking their cell phones every so often?

TMan was clearly watching, but whatever. I’m not going to stress about about other teams for the next two weeks. If people want to hang breathlessly on every Brewer or Cardinal at bat, have at it, I guess. It just turns game threads into Schwarber Fan x3 with all the ninny doom bonering over 3 different games at once.

I mean, I guess pretending like the Cubs aren't battling game by game to make the playoffs against a pair of division rivals who could swing their fate with the division or the WC is one way to approach things.

Like, you get the difference between, "oh, boo-hoo, the Cubs suck, look at the Brewers annihilating this other team in May," and, "there's a very real and timely metric right how that hinges on how how the Brewers and Cardinals perform directly relative to how the Cubs do literally every day," right?

And you get the difference between scoreboard watching and panic posting everytime Harrison Bader gets a 2-out, seeing-eye single in the 2nd inning, right?

Please point us to the apparent deluge of freaking out posts that weren't about things like the Cardinals or Brewers tying or taking the lead in their games. Y'know, the things that matter when you're scoreboard watching since your team's fate is hinged largely on how those other teams do.

People can go nuts in the "Other Games" thread.

The urgency of the horsefeathering Cubs game is directly tied in to how the Cardinals and Brewers are doing if they're playing at the same time. Christ.

You couldn't pay me to watch a Cardinals or Brewers game that didn't involve the Cubs. Well I guess maybe I would if $ was involved but I wouldn't do it voluntarily.

I won't watch a Cardinals or Brewers game not involving the Cubs either. horsefeathers them.

I put an end to watching non-Cubs STL games a long, long time ago. Just seeing the dumb horsefeathers that goes their way is far less irritating than actually watching it unfold.
