Kohl Franklin just keeps doing his thing. 4 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K.

 

It's interesting to me that they have him on such a strict pitch count. I don't recall seeing it this drastic before in prospects that are not in their draft years. Of course, we haven't had any pitchers worth following that closely the past few years, so maybe it has already been there and I just didn't care enough to look.

My instinct is that they'll have tighter leashes on HS draftees compared to college, and they've drafted mostly college pitchers. It's not a 1:1 comparison for a couple reasons, but Cease was in a similar situation in his time at Eugene.
