What's the Myrtle Beach rotation now? Lange, Lacy, Uelman, Abbott, Miller? I'm assuming Lacy is sliding into Clark's spot for now, with a decision to be made when Clark returns?

Abbott's sort of scuffled since going up, but Uelman's been solid (although he hasn't gotten the ground balls). Curious if Lacy's numbers can hold up - most indications are that he's more polished than Uelman, but lacked the upside with the power 2-seamer.

Abbot really hasn't been that much different at MB than he was in SB. Walks are up a bit, but the difference in results is a ridiculous .394 BABIP against. That won't last. He's even induced a lot more grounders upon being promoted. It's all SSS of course, but the K's are still there for him.

Edit: Whoops. .391 BABIP against. Still ridiculously high.

Does anyone have a report on his fastball velocity? I'm talking about Abbott. If he can gains a few ticks on his fastball he becomes really interesting in my opinion. He has a really good cutter/slider (whatever you want to call it) and good command and some deception.

I know Lacy's ceiling is limited, but that's a heck of a nice start to A+. I actually expect, with his polish, he should be fine in A+, and the real test will be AA.

DSL nonsense...

Fabian Pertuz is hitting .333/.464/.425 with more walks than Ks to go with his ~12% K rate. He's also stolen 16 bases, including 2 today, and plays SS.

Josue Fernandez hit his second pro HR but also struck out 4 times in a doubleheader.

Luis Rodriguez has allowed just 12 hits, including a HR, to 28 Ks. He's a LHP out of Mexico, at least the fifth along with Saul Velazquez, Didier Vargas, Ferrol Heredia, and Faustino Carrera since 2015. They're all in a pool of teenaged LHs - Bruzaul, Marquez, Misael Garica - that may or may not produce a legit arm possibly even a SP.

Malcolm Quintero, a 17 YO catcher signed out of Venezuela, made his pro debut in late June and has been doing well.

------

Quietly Josue Huma is an 18 YO switch hitting SS with a better than league average IsoSLG and 16% K rate in the AZL.

I'm kind of a fan of Pedro Martinez. 17 yo SS playing on DSL 2. Leads the team in PA, so the Cubs want to get him experience. He's hitting .342/.430/.432/.862 with 11.5 BB% and 10.0 k% plus 22 steals coming into today. In the doubleheader today he went 3-7 with a double and a walk, with no k's.

Plus I love the name.

Hudson is in their rotation too.
