I'm curious how Uelman performs in Myrtle. He wouldn't have been my first choice to go there - he's got a higher ceiling than Lacy with a legit power sinker, but it seemed that the secondary stuff needed more work. Curious how it turns out. Still, asking a college arm to work on secondaries in High A shouldn't be that big a deal ... so let's see how it goes.

Hey, toonster. When you say power sinker, do you have a velocity on that?

So that's why we haven't heard from Eddie Butler recently: 1 IP, 2 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 HR, 32-17 pitches-strikes

Triple to Luke Voit, HR to Tyler O'Neill. He did strike out Paul DeJong.

Keegan Thompson is very interesting....

What kinda stuff does he throw?

FB 87-91 (that’s college velocity), plus curve, good change, plus command. Polished/pitchability type. He used to throw mid-90s before TJS in college.

Sooo stepbrother of Hendricks?

I’m OK with that

Luke Reynolds is making his pro debut down in the AZL tonight.

I'm very intrigued. I knew very little about him before the draft, but everything I've seen and heard and read since has me excited.

He could be our version of Matt Carpenter (best case scenario).

Yeah, after Hendricks’ success, I’ve learned to appreciate and value soft tossers way more. That said, when Hendricks is on, his game isn’t just elite control but also limiting hard contact. Thompson doesn’t do that - he has a 1.93 HR/9 thus far this season.
