Tyler Chatwood’s personal pitching coach, 50 Cent (shown above) was once quoted as saying “There wouldn’t be joy if it wasn’t for pain” or something like that.

I think that song came out in 2003 when Cubs pain was heightened to unthinkable levels. We finally over came the odds with Mike Montgomery on the mound (shown below)

Luckily for us we’ll only have a few hours of pain to overcome as the Cubs offense will be downright blistering vs Rich Hill tonight.

Cubs 7

Dodgers 2

OK, Cubs. There is your break. Now take advantage and score five or six runs this inning.

Or swing at the first pitch and fly lazily to center, either way

Well can’t get mad at the Cubs pitcher coming up at the wrong time after Hill came up at an even worse time for the Dodgers last inning

Someone tell the Cubs we don’t need to play by that stupid minor league rule of the first Dodger batter of an inning getting placed on base to start an inning

So glad we got that pitching coach to help our pitchers walk less guys

The Cubs have put someone on base via walk or HBP in 9 of the 12 innings played tonight

Which game this week do you think we will have our 10+ run outburst?

Hey we finally scored more than 2 or less runs in a loss today! The boom or bust offense is here no more

If Chatwood’s walks were replaced with league average numbers where would the staff overall rank?
