The Pelicans faced off against probably the VBs top prospect in Keston Hiura. He's currently hitting .185/.259/.277 on the season. He's probably going to hit eventually, but haa haa.

He’s still mostly DH’ing because of the elbow problem he had/has going back to college where he couldn’t throw and had to DH. Surprised they aren’t just making him get TJS. He’s tried to do the PRP injection thing but doesn’t seem like it’s working. As a position player and 2B you’d think that wouldn’t be all that big of a deal to get.

It’s all about the position/defense with him too, the bat seems to be relatively advanced according to reports. Not being able to play the field will hold him back.

Miguel Amaya and Jhonny Bethencourt both hit 2 doubles and a home run today for South Bend to salvage a pretty crappy day on the farm.

Amaya has an .847 OPS with a 16.7% K% and 13.3% BB% as a 19-year old catcher in full season A-ball.
