HEADLINE: Potential 2013 Controversy

Southpaw19 is leading the investigation; glavine93 might lose their title.

 

CHICAGO, IL -- While going through archived information, Southpaw19 came across an oddity for the 2013 stats in the Home Run Derby. The last date recorded was August 25, 2013. The problem is MLB doesn't end in August. In fact, in 2013 the regular season ended on Sunday, September 29, 2013. Was there a file storage glitch? The 2013 HR Derby topics are not active and not accessible. Was the final scoreboard ever posted? What happened in 2013?! Why is there a cover-up? Southpaw19 vows to find the truth!

 

Seriously... does anyone remember what might have happened here? I'm going to update the statistics and see if glavine93 really won or not.

UPDATE: 2013 Controversy Averted

Top 3 finishers in 2013 stayed in the same position

 

There was some shifting of the final scoreboard but nothing in the Top 3.

The reason I came across this, is I'm adding more information about past seasons to the HR Derby Wiki.

Interesting factoids... in 2006, the Derby had a whopping 57 participants. The last two seasons (2016 + 2017) had 20 participants each year.

We currently stand at 16.
