haha I will break it down

 

The first part was a horrid attempt to embed a GIF of Bob Marley singing "Exodus" (an allusion to many coaches/admin staff leaving the Cubs)

 

The second comment was a self-deprecating allusion to the fact that I am like an old man and can't use technology.

 

the last comment about my "good ear" was to further reinforce the joke of me being like an old man.

I don't know how much significance J. Parks had for the Cubs, but he did seem like a weirdo. I believe I read he was one of the scouts who followed the Yankees and Chapman specifically, and highly recommended trading for him before the trade deadline in 2016. I mean I really don't think it's that hard to scout Chapman and realize he'd be a good addition to the team lol.

 

What I want to know is how the Cubs valued A. Miller vs. A. Chapman before they traded for Chapman, and if the Cubs could've worked out a trade for A. Miller without having to give up Schwarber. Apparently, Cashman was adamant about Schwarber being the center piece in a trade for A. Miller.

 

I doubt we'll ever find out...

I really enjoyed the Up and In podcast for a while, although I barely remember why. I think it was partially because I was going to school in Dekalb at the time, so I liked to imagine myself and Kevin Goldstein shopping at the same store.
