I hope nobody gets mad at me for this......

It's September and a big series. At home. Defending World Series champions. I'm annoyed to be getting punked like this.

Win tomorrow and stop this nonsense.

Thank you.

Meh, I'd like our chances of winning the division even if I knew with absolute certainty that the Brewers would sweep the remaining games between us. Things would certainly be easier if we could find a way to look like a professional baseball team tomorrow but this is Milwaukee's world series and they can have it for all I care.

I agree. The Brewers are the plucky underdogs that are making goofy tshirts and getting what they seem statememt wins. The Cubs are the heavy favorite that has a been there done that kind of approach these games. It sucks to watch them come in here and grow their confidence and continue to let them feel like they are anywhere near as good as the Cubs.

But you know what? It won't matter if the Cubs win tomorrow. And if the Cubs don't win tomorrow they can split the series in Milwaukee and the Brewers still have to play 3 games better than the Cubs over the other 13 games in order to pass the Cubs outright. So they may be getting confidence for future years (when a large chunk of the team won't be around) but it's still not going to mean anything for this year barring a total Cubs collapse (and even if they do that will mean giving the Cardinals a bunch of wins)

I understand the frustration. Frankly, I agree with those that say the Brewers and Cardinals aren't very good. And therein lies the frustration. This shouldn't be this hard. I flat out think the Cubs aren't as good as they should be. That happens in baseball. But the last two seasons have informed all our expectations for this season. And the team hasn't played up to those expectations. There's been a fe too many games like this. A few too many offensive droughts. But I'm still of the opinion that they'll overcome all this. And if they do, anything can happen in the playoffs.

Christ, the eulogy I wrote for my grandpa wasn't much longer than that. See what you've done, Cubs?

This horsefeathers should not ever happen

We caught them on a weekend when some of our bats are slumping and we still have 2 starters injured -- 1 being one of our three best players.

We also sent our 5th and 6th best starters against their top 2. This shouldn't have been unexpected. Just win today and no sweat.

Also this is baseball and this stuff happens all the time.

I also don't understand some of you guys hating this team. Some people need some perspective. This team won 200 games and a World Series in the last two years, and they are sitting 3 games up with a chance to win another World Series this year. If you hate them, when are you ever going to enjoy baseball again?

that’s when I turned it off, but I was sitting on my couch instead of being at a gym so who’s really the smart one?
