Eddie Butler is on the DL for Iowa retro to Tuesday I believe.

Ran into him and Rob Z downtown Des Moines on Monday. The son was totally geeked to get their autos and that they know KB and Rizz

Seven innings of one hit ball with 6 ks and 0 bb for Underwood

Holy WTF?

Man, has he come back from the dead. Number one, he's stayed healthy. Secondly, he's run together 5 good starts in a row. Over those last 5:

31 IP, 21 H, 2 HR, 3 BB, 28 K, 1.74 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, 1.89 GO/AO (36 GO/19 AO). In his last 4 starts he's pitched 6, 7, 7 and 7 innings. He only pitched 4 innings 5 starts ago because it was a piggyback on a 5 inning rehab start for Kyle Hendricks.

Between Underwood and Maples, this might be the year of the resurrection...

Eh, I was sorta high on Underwood, but he's had spurts before. This is a nice start, nice stretch, but he really had to finish strong, and start well in aaa next year. Too much stagnation for him in last couple of years. If it wasn't the state of the system, I'd move him to the pen already.

This one is cheating because it was only his third career start, and his first two were pretty lackluster, butBrendon Little had the best game of his pro career as well. It was my first time getting a look at the 6'1" lefty and he made a nice first impression. He worked with his fastball in the upper 80s according to the stadium gun, but the announcers mentioned it tends to run 1-2 MPH below that of scouts

That's still a few ticks slower than college, but not unexpected after the college season and then a layoff.
