I was just about to ask if his advanced stats suggested he was actually pitching well and not continuing to get lucky because he's only allowed 1 ER in his past 12 innings.

 

But now he will give up a 3 run inning and it will be your fault (and a little mine)

The universe is trying to make a point and Butler is its vehicle. Don't trade young, once top prospects who have hit a rough patch for pennies on the dollar to a smarter front office.

 

It tried to make the point with Rizzo, Arrieta, and Montgomery. MLB hasn't gotten the message yet, so hopefully the universe keeps trying to make that point. Bring us Gausman, universe!
