If he really does have a torn labrum, Long needs to just sit out the rest of the year and get the surgery done now. He'll be in much better shape to potential actually help the team if he's fully healthy at the beginning of next year. And I know from experience that that surgery is no joke.

How many players on this current roster would you say are possible/probable pieces for the future given what you've seen?

Howard

Hicks

Goldman

Freeman

Floyd

White?

 

Some of these guys might only be pieces for 3 or so years (like the FA guys) and some of them might need more time to be definite future pieces. Also there might be other guys with potential to be on this list that aren't yet. Also I know Floyd is a stretch but I like what I've seen so far and he has 1st round pedigree so I'm putting him on there.
