I picked up the Topps Now World Series set with the autograph. Would be fine with any autograph other than Almora (1/10 chance). Bryant and Rizzo are 1/5. . . . . set normally sells for $50, with the autograph it was $150. Far too much for the chance at an autograph, but screw it -- it's the world series!

Kinda curious, what's been the wait time on online orders? Been eyeing up stuff on the usual places (Lids, MLB dot com, Fansedge, etc) but I'm curious if I ordered now if it would arrive next week or in a month.

 

Also has anyone ordered one of the press plates from the Tribune?

 

I ordered a bunch of stuff last Wednesday from MLB.com and the only thing that has shipped so far has been one shirt, which was sent out Monday.

Costco now has new Cubs merchandise:

 

- Chicago Tribune commemorative magazines ($9)

- Chicago Sun-Times book ($15)

- Commemorative LIFE magazine ($9)

- Two Cubs childrens books (one by Ryan Dempster) ($9)

- Sports Illustrated commemorative issue ($11)

- Cubs World Series youth hoodie ($23)

A friend of mine sent me the SI issue from the start of the series that was supposed to jinx the Cubs. It's tan and has "Cubs -1908- 2016 World Champions" and pictures of the usual suspects.

I didn't bother ordering any WS stuff knowing that everyone in my family will think it's the obvious holiday gift

 

That's my strategy as well. My sister bought me a t shirt from Costco so I've that going for me.

I know I won't get everything I would buy myself so that's the only reason I jumped in early (that and I thought I'd have it sooner, #LetsGo get my order shipped dammit).

I'd check Gordmans if you're anywhere near one that carries Cubs stuff. that's the only place in the wild that I've seen them

The ornament with the trophy is fantastic. Apparently everyone else thought so too because it's out of stock on MLB Shop now.

yeah that's the one i had bookmarked, but it's gone. shouldn't have waited. there's a 20 dollar paperweight that looks similar, but i'll hold out hope they re-release that ornament.

Anyone seen a poster or picture of the Wrigley marquee announcing the Cubs as World Series Champions? I've seen T-Shirts like that, but not a poster.

Those were hard to find when I was there for Game 4. At Wrigleyville Sports they had a couple of Mediums, but no other sizes. Every other store I went to only had grey ones.

Has anyone seen an "old school" team plaque for sale anywhere? I'm talking about a plaque that shows all the players in a team picture and says "World Series Champions" on it.

 

actually interested in this as well. 10-15 years ago i got one with the 1908 team, thought it'd be kinda cool to have another to match it/hang side-by-side

ordered the framed front page of the tribune and it says shipped with no tracking info ....hope it shows

For anyone who is interested, you can also order an 11x14 photo of the SI cover HERE, although I would strongly suggest buying it unframed and then framing it yourself. A $60 surcharge is a little crazy for a $20 frame.

I missed out on the hoodie I wanted. Hoping after the holiday weekend inventory rises again. The shirt the wife wanted was out of stock on Tuesday and back on Thursday so hoping the same.
