The last day of summer which means fall starts tomorrow. It's almost time for some real baseball, but we still have 11 meaningless games to go.

 

The Cubs will face their 16th right handed starter in their last 17 games, much to the chagrin of Javy who just wants a nice lefty he can dong off of. The Cubs send King Douchebag to the mound, who's eyes have hopefully stopped burning.

 

This is the last regular season home night game broadcast by a local television station, so make it count!

 

 

CUBS are 96-55 (.635) overall

CUBS are 15-7 (.682) on Wednesdays

CUBS are 11-8 (.579) in September

CUBS are 12-3 (.800) vs. Cincinnati

CUBS are 43-22 (.662) vs. NL Central

CUBS are 14-7 (.667) when they've won their last 2 games

CUBS are 53-29 (.646) at night

CUBS are 54-23 (.701) at home

CUBS are 68-38 (.642) vs right handers

CUBS are 15-12 (.556) when Lackey starts

Is it wrong I'd kinda sorta want to see Lackey struggle a bit so there's no temptation to give him a start in the DS?

Brain fart, forgot Lester (or whoever the game 1 starter is) wouldn't be on regular rest for game 4. I thought the DS was lined up to go 1,2,3,1,2 with all on regular rest. Move along nothing to see here

Not that I'm complaining, but I'm surprised the starters haven't been getting more days off. I'm assuming next week we'll see the JV lineup a couple of days in a row and that's it.

We have been sticking with a 6-man rotation lately and have had off days in the last 2 weeks. They are getting plenty of rest

Ha. To be fair the play didn't hurt the Cubs but it was just a terrible throw.

Unfortunately that's been said about 10 times this season. But i declared it to be true last night so it is
