I'm not a good napper. I have trouble falling asleep when it's light out unless I'm just completely exhausted, and inevitably I feel like [expletive] after a nap. Tried, headache, indigestion...I don't get it at all. Makes me feel like zombie for the rest of the day.

Gotta keep em short. 20 min or so tops. Beyond that...yeah...it can mess with you.

That's probably it, then; if I nap it tends to be for 2+ hours. It's like if I fall asleep, my body wants to sleep for hours and anything less gets me all out of sorts. Napping before going out would just leave me even more tired.

It's more the headaches and heartburn than anything else. I have no idea why a nap tends to set that off for me.

Really though, if you nap for an REM cycle you'll be fine or two or three, it's waking up in different parts of the sleep cycle that's truly problematic for sleep. That's why strict alarm clocks aren't the greatest, but there are now apps that you can use where an alarm will go off during a preselected range of time say I need to be up at 7:30 I can set it for 7:15-7:45, or if I absolutely can't be late, 7:00-7:30 and it senses when you're in your lightest part of sleep (after your deepest REM sleep) and will go off then.

I've been dealing with headaches when I wake up and I've come to the conclusion that I think I clench my teeth a lot. Trying to train myself to quit that.

I think that would help if I was grinding, but I've tried and it didn't seem to help headaches...I think cuz I'm still trying to clench...I dunno.

It's all just me home diagnosing...

Old things I experienced this week: standing up from a crouch and having to hold on to a counter because my knees hurt.

Having to trim my eyebrows.

Just put me in the ground already.

Indeed. Wait until hair grows wildly in places like your ears. And having worked on my feet for 20 years, hurting knees are a part of every day life. Sigh.

i'm feeling super old right now physically but that's mainly because, for some reason, i decided it was a good idea to start going to the gym again this week and now i'm sore as horsefeathers.
