Smith didn't bring up the accusation. Someone else (no clue who) did, and Jake shrugged it off. Then Smith said that whether or not it was true, due to his sudden rise, it wasn't smart to just shrug it off, and Jake pretty much went off on Smith.

No, I think it was a crock of horsefeathers, and it started out by my making what was apparently a bad joke in response to somebody else's bad joke (I think it was intended as a joke) and it spiraled out of control. Now if it's ok with everyone else, I apologize, and I'd like to move on with my evening, which will likely culminate in cursing every member of our bullpen.
