Rizzo is also struggling, but I keep expecting him to go 4 for 4 with 6 RBI or something...

Yeah, without checking, other than Dex and I think Miggy, nobody has really hit that much to start the season.

Szczur

Bryant has been fine since the first couple of games. Soler has been fine.

CUBS are 4-0 (1.000) when the opponent hits at least 1 HR.... 5-2 (.714) when they don't

CUBS are 6-1 (.857) when they score first in the game.... 3-1 (.750) when they don't

Go CUBS !!

I love how much of the offense is struggling and we are at worst going to go 4-2 on the homestand and average something like 6 runs a game

Also wasn't run support an issue for Lester last year? Our first game we put up 6 but 2nd game the Reds took a no hitter to the 7th and this game the Rockies are PGing us through 4

I think anyone hoping for swing changes that make Heyward hit a bunch of dongs this year is going to be disappointed. That swing still looks especially...choppy.

Which, oh well, I'll settle for the 5-6 wins instead of 8 or whatever.

This probably won't make sense even though in my mind it does, but those guys are hitting .250 or below. And so overall they haven't hit that much to start the season on a whole.

ETA: Bryant and Soler, not Matt

Without some BABIP luck Bryant is probably closer to a .250-.270 hitter than he is a .300+ hitter

the hell is going on

My guess is advanced scouting is catching up and now we need to make adjustments. But pure guess.

Or we could just be slumping which has happened to every team in baseball history

When you hit the ball as hard as Bryant it's not BABIP luck
