Trying to decide if I like this jersey or not

OK, let's try this again. This is for real this time. Nothing jokey about this thread. I haven't owned an actual jersey since Sammy and I want to buy one.

 

I want a jersey and the replica ones appear to be a slimmer fit and much shorter (since the authentics are meant to be tucked in by giant pro athletes). They are also half the price or so. I'm mainly wondering how the fit is and what the patches (logo, numbers, letters, arms, etc.) actually look like. The picture on Amazon almost looks like it's printed on, which I'm sure isn't the case.

 

Do any of you guys own one of these Cool Base replicas and if so how do you feel about it?

The logo is crappy IMO. I think for $100 you should still get a real logo patch.

I have a cool base replica from last year. I would have bought an authentic, but they didn't make one of the jersey that I wanted.

 

mlb.com has codes pretty often for 40% off authentics, I'd go for one of those.

Authentic runs way too big and long. I'd never wear it.

 

Bummer about the crappy patches on the cool base, but think I still might get one.

I think the picture just makes it look like it's not a patch, I got a cool base of the new road jersey and the 90's "Cuba" jersey and everything is sewn on and I'm happy with them. I wear a size large and bought large, and it fits like a size large t-shirt would maybe ever so slightly bigger.

They are sewn on, but they aren't embroidered.

I'd get it shortened then. The non authentics look and feel crappy imo.

Is there an authentic cool base jersey vs replica? I got a Rizzo one for Christmas and it has the cubbie bear patch on the sleeve, which the one in the link doesn't. My tags say authentic, but not sure if that's the same for all of them. Regardless, I like the jersey quite a bit. The patches seem very solid and the lettering on the back does as well. I have an XL, which might be a little long, but needed something that would definitely fit the extra roundness in my middle. Lol.
