The Zobrist signing made me look to see who the last guy to wear #18 was (forgot about Wada), and I ended up at this page:

http://www.cubsbythenumbers.com/cubs-all-time.html

Anywho, what was going on in 2013 that there was a guy named Chang-Yong Lim that wore #12? Who's that guy? Maybe I'm another Mojo, but I have no recollection of that guy existing.

this was that really old korean guy we signed coming off TJS

i forgot he existed

He was a lot of fun to watch -- really funky delivery.

Ugh, #21. There was a big deal made about Lester needing to ask for permission to wear 34, yet guys like Joe Mather and Lake get to wear 21 like it's no biggy.

Same thing I thought about when I saw that list. They should be a little more judicious with their use of 21.

The way we pieced the bullpen together this last year and the total number of guys that were temporarily with the team I'm pretty sure 2 years from now I'll look at the roster and think "he was on that team?" for at least 5 different guys.

You've inspired me to assemble to official "2011 Who?/I Completely forgot He was a Cub" Team. So enjoy and you're welcome.

1B Anthony Recker. 2012. 9 games. .167/.286/.389.

Ok, so only 1 of his 9 games was spent at 1B. But 1B was consistently occupied.

2B Alberto Gonzalez. 2013. 11 Games. 26PA/23AB. .217/.269/.391.

SS Thomas Neal. 2013. 2 Games. 4AB/PA. .000/.000/.000.

Ok, he was an OF. Allegedly. But seeing as I've never heard of him, and there's no SS to fit the criteria, it's a match.

3B Cody Ransom. 2013. 57 games .203/.304/.449

LF Lou Montanez. 2011. (The not so triumphant return.) 36 Games. 222/.263/.352.

CF. Joe Mather. 2012. 243PA/225AB .209/.256/.324.

RF. Darnell McDonald. 2013. 25 games. 57PA/53AB. .302/.351/.434.

If only he could have bottled up that slash line.

C JD Boscan 2013. .222/.300/.333.

SP Doug Davis. 2011. 9 G. 6.50 ERA. 1.861 ERA

SP Scott Baker. 2013. 3 Games. 3.60 ERA/0.867.

I remember the signing, but not that he ever made it to the mound.

BP Henry Rodriguez. 2013. 5 Games. 4.50 ERA/2.500 WHiP.

I remember Henry Rodriguez well. Just not this one. But I have to assume that those were not chocolate bars being thrown at him.

BP Manny Corpas. 2012. 48 games. 5.01ERA/1.414 ERA. That did happen, didn't it?

BP Hisanori Takahashi. 2013. 3 games. Ok, now B-Ref's just making guys up.

That frame rate is pretty bad.....time to update your graphics card, David

There are limits to how seamless stop motion animation can be. I'm just impressed with his clay modeling skills.
