A's now have an infield with Lowrie and Lawrie.

Jane Lee of MLB.com reports that the Athletics have acquired Jed Lowrie from the Astros.

No word yet on who is headed back to Houston. Lowrie, who previously played with the Athletics from 2013-2014, batted .222 with nine home runs and a .712 OPS in 69 games this past season. He's owed $7.5 million in 2016 and $6.5 million in 2017 while his contract includes a $6 million club option or $1 million buyout for 2018. He's yet another moving part for Oakland's infield.
