Man, so many great ones. Mine is probably a bit obscure, but is one of my favorites because I was a track and cross country guy growing up. I was in Olympic Stadium in Atlanta the night Michael Johnson broke the world record in the 200m. The wave of camera flashes as they went around the curve was just unreal and the burst he put on from probably 85 to 115 meters to just blow the doors off the race was absolutely amazing. Such an enormous performance on the biggest stage there is.

Sandberg's 2 HRs on NBC's game of the week in 1984. The 1st as Costas is announcing Willie Mcgee as player of the game and the 2nd as Costas is reading off the credits.

Some of my favorites have already been mentioned but this one hasn't.

Donovan's 90th minute goal in the 2010 World Cup. A tie would have seen the US eliminated and the win not only allowed them to advance to the knockout stage but gave them the group win. The transition from defense to offense starting with Howard in goal, going up the field in about 10 seconds, Dempsey's shot getting saved for what appeared to be the 47th missed US chance of the game only for the ball to slowly trickle out to Donovan.

It just seemed like a "not our day" type of game and I was resigned to a tie and a first round exit and that got completely flipped.

Schwarber's dong into the Allegheny.

We'll never truly know if it made it there because TBS' coverage is a bag of [expletive]

Conversely we can never know if it cleared the river instead of landing in it because of TBS' shitty coverage

Probably not what you are asking for, but my favorite individual sports play was my daugther striking out the last two batters with tying run on third in a rec league softball tournament to advance to the championship game. As much as I love my pro sports, not sure I have ever been that excited! #proudpapamoment

This.

Costas: "Barring any more heroics from Ryne Sandberg, Willie McGee is your player of the game." "Hold everything".

I remember Dernier drew a walk with 2 strikes just before this HR. I think it was Young Dave Owen that drove in the winning run later on.
