New (old) Manager

I found a replacement manager for Juan's old team. Welcome back to one of the more successful (and active) managers - tadowdaddy. He'll be taking over Juan's team.

 

Don - make sure to review the rules changes. The biggest one is that as a daily league, you can change your lineup as often as you want during the week. Still just seven starts - most things are still the same.

Awesome. I like that rule change. I'm open to trades. Juan definitely had some talent, but the team needs improvement.

Well, you know the history I have with Adam. As for Bunt Lick Butts??? I have no idea who that even is or what team it is. I'll be active and try to rebuild a pretty bad team. I can at least promise that.

well, i mean, you had to undo his permaban from nsbb to bring him back. so

I've requested to be unbanned 3x in the past year. I've promised to not post about college sports. It wasn't until after I was unbanned at my request and made the promise that Tim asked me if I was interested in re-joining. He didn't "unban" me just to get me in as a manager.

ok well if your prior requests were rejected and you were finally unbanned within hours of being asked back to RK...

 

of course, that's not the point. the point seemed fairly obvious. Tim was surprised that he got a little push back by inviting a previously permabanned poster to mange in the league. I don't think it's surprising that someone that's been banned from nsbb might get some skepticism.

 

If Tim said "hey, I just added meph. he's been really successful in fantasy leagues, so I'm sure he'll be great" there might be some folks here that questioned the decision.

Are you familiar with my banning? It was strictly to do with College Football posting, not with anything in this group (Roadkill). When I agreed not to post anything related to college sports, I was unbanned. I've known, or played fantasy BB with the majority of this group since around 2001. I have a fine relationship with the majority of them, including Adam. At times him and I have butted heads, but there has never been anything personal or attacking posted between the two of us. I don't understand the push back personally, nor your problem with it.

I have absolutely no qualms with tadowdaddy being unbanned, or invited back to RK. I know he'll be active and engaged, which is pretty important in a fantasy league.

 

Kudos to Tim for lifting the ban and inviting him back.

lol - the unbanning happened first and was fueled by his promise and, tbh, the good feelings of the playoffs. Once he was back in and we were chatting, I asked if he'd be willing to resume being a manager.
