tortorella dropped saad to the fourth line.

He's been completely non-productive after a hot start

He's played 28 games and has 17 points (3 off the team lead, btw) which puts him on pace for around 50 points. In his best season as a Blackhawk, he had 52 points.

The real problem is that he's can't fill the "star player/best player on the team" role. Which is likely what CBJ thought they were getting when they signed him.

He has 0 goals and 3 assists on his last 10 games. I'd take a goal or two from him right now

Tortella is an idiot. He probably wants Saad to hit people which is not his game. I saw he's moved Johansen to wing.

Tortella is about "sending messages", so he'll drop your line or sit you as a healthy scratch if you suck. Big picture, it doesn't seem to be working

Rob Scuderi traded to the Hawks for Daley. Isn't Scuderi better than Daley? I know he's a lot older but for a team in win now mode I like the move

Remember how slow the Hawks started? No Mas, many they are rocketing upwards

how did you post as a guest?

fwiw, I've seen that happen a number of times with various posters. Every time the post shows up as a guest post asking for approval, and then the same post under the right username underneath.

I read a few things from Pens fans applauding the move. Granted they are disgruntled at the moment, but they seem to hate Scuderi.

Scuderi is old and slow but the Pens are paying part of his salary. This move likely doesn't help the Hawks very much unless they actually find a 2nd pairing guy to play opposite Seabrook. It does give them an extra ~1.3 million to play with. If they traded Shaw with a $2 mildo cap cap that puts them in the ballpark of actually being able to get somebody. Shaw is a fan favorite but he makes too much money for what he does.

Someone will overpay for Shaw. Lead them to water, Stan.

Absolutely not. Been having a lot of problems with Tims lately. Serious quality control issues I believe.

Considering he was a 5th round pick, it won't be too hard to get a good return. It would be great if they could send him and Rundblad somewhere for a not that young anymore but not Scuderi old defenseman.
