What are you babbling about? Where's the "hate" for a largely unremarkable bench player?

He's also had almost twice as many PA against RHP than LHP, and his numbers are almost the same against both, so maybe you're thinking of someone else.

What's with all the Denorfia hate? He's a good option against LHP and has done a nice job for us this year.

I mean, he's ok. But he also hasn't hit for any semblance of power and hasn't drawn many walks. And he is riding a .350 BABIP and a 59.0 UZR/150 in LF to some still pretty meh numbers.

He's a better option against LHP than Coghlan, so there's that.

As for the "hate," other than BigSlick's post, I see people on Twitter bitching every time he's in the lineup.

And Duke, he's never hit for power so it's not like we should've been expecting that.

In the second half his .220 .250 .340 .590 line is accompanied by a .286 BABIP, so this might just be who he is.

Did I say I expected him to hit for power? Just because he didn't then and doesn't now doesn't mean that it's not still a bad thing.

No, but this is his second lowest year slugging-wise, so this is weak even for him.

He's a tolerable bench bat and a decent defensive option.

I don't think Denorfia is anything special but I also think we could do a lot worse as a platoon outfielder and people shouldn't lump in him with the "automatic outs" in the lineup.

I mean, nobody here has done that. He's just a guy. He's not good and not terrible.

I don't know who you follow, but I swear I don't think I've seen a single person bitch a single time all year when Denorfia is in the lineup.

First sign of the apocalypse, no ?

I know right? He's still saying nice stuff. I don't know how to feel about this.

If he shakes your hand........ count your fingers !!
