So Happ hasn't played the past 3 games. Anyone know why?

There was talk of a promotion, but unless they're taking their time acclimating him, I've got no idea why it'd take 3 games.

Yeah it's weird. But I guess it's possible with travel he didn't really get to SB until yesterday or even today at some point. He played Sunday so it's possible he couldn't get out until Monday or even Tuesday and going across country (nearly and losing extra time with time zone changes) maybe it took a day+ with all the travel (I would think going Eugene-SB there aren't any direct flights and at least 1 connector/long layover)? Just speculation, still weird there's been nothing on Twitter or anywhere.

We'd have heard by now if it was a promotion.

Jaron Madison, Chicago's director of player development, told me a promotion could be coming for this year's first round pick Ian Happ.

I meant we'd have heard if his 3 day absence was related to a promotion.

But wouldn't we have heard something if it were an injury?

Happ's getting acclimated to Chicago as we speak. Just like the weather in the windy city, if you think you know the reason why Happ's missed the last few games, wait a couple hours. It'll change.
