CUBS are 14-5 (.737) when they hit at least 2 HRs.... 22-25 (.468) when they don't

CUBS are 14-2 (.875) when they get they get at least 11 hits .... 22-28 (.440) when they don't

CUBS are 6-1 (.857) when they score 8 runs or more.... 30-29 (.508) when they don't

With the offense doing it's thing and bullpen looking better and Ramirez due back I hope Theo & Co addresses the back of the rotation soon and get an elite starter...Hammel, Hendricks and Wada is just a crapshoot and you don't know what you're going to get that day when they're on the mound.

Sort of surprised you included Hammel in there. He's pretty solid and fairly consistent.

Last time the CUBS scored 25 runs in a game.... Fri 18 Aug 1995 in a 26-7 win at Colorado

You're right, I guess it was only a couple last few starts where he got in trouble early. other than that he's been solid...It's more so Wada and Hendricks.

CUBS are 7-6 when Arrieta starts
CUBS are 3-3 when Wood starts
CUBS are 6-7 when Hammel starts
CUBS are 8-6 when Hendricks starts

Agreed and it's a lock they do get another starter. We'd all love another ace but it's probably going to be a rental who is more a 3 or 4 but offers more than a Wada.

 

But I'll still dream of Hamels because it's fun.

You're right, I guess it was only a couple last few starts where he got in trouble early. other than that he's been solid...It's more so Wada and Hendricks.

 

I mean, Hammel ranks 10th in the NL in ERA, 11th in FIP, and 8th in xFIP.
