huh?

He's having a bit of a cold stretch. .143 .250 .214 .464 over the last week. Hopefully he'll bounce back to his career levels soon.

Seemed odd to say after he hit a ball about 380 feet to the opposite field and barely missed a HR

remember, even in game threads, there's like a 50/50 chance at best that mojo actually is watching the cubs

Shucks, they should have given him half a run for trying real hard.

you're not allowed to say this and then be worried about the dude hitting well off a really high babip

Montero has really scalded a number of balls that went for outs recently. I'm not too concerned.

Has BABIP has been .250 during this stretch. Sometimes a guy just goes in a funk.

He's undergoing a little babip correction, it's not like he's been exposed and is up there flailing helplessly or something.

And it's not like we were going to get a .900 OPS out of him regardless.

Delgado all of the sudden made three good pitches.

And strike one was ball three.

Sometimes we get breaks, sometimes we don't. Tonight, very little is going our way.

To be fair, Baxter should have struck out on the 1-2 pitch.

Pitch track had it a couple inches off the plate.

Not the one they showed on the broadcast. The edge of the zone split the ball down the middle. The 2-2 pitch was a couple inches off.

This board is weirdly protective of Miguel Montero: unremarkable catcher.

Right; he's not THIS bad, and he's not as good as he was earlier (either this season or in his career), but some are overstating just a bit how much bad luck he's hitting into right now.
