CBS has updated the look of fantasy game center, too. It's visually nicer, but hard to tell yet if there's any additional functionality.

I'm hopeful about my team this year, but there's a lot of potential for variability with many of my players.

I'll have to remove Martinez' points for his relief appearance

The way I look at it is that you're only allowed to have two RP in the lineup at any given time. Had I known Martinez was going to be used that way and put Cingrani on the bench for the day, it would have been fine. But since I technically had three relievers in my lineup at the same time, those points should be removed.

Just my opinion.

btw - how are we making these decisions this year since Adam isn't posting? Anyone care to be commissioner?

sure give me the reins. i'm online almost every day and this is my 4th year so that makes me an old timer.

Done.

I hereby cede these decisions to your infinite wisdom.

Adam's ears must have been burning. He should stay commish if he wants it. no coup intended.

Theo's points for the week do not make sense. It is like he gains points one day and then they mysteriously disappear. Could someone with commish abilities check it out?

My guess is that his roster was illegal due to the Danny Salazar Incident. If UK figures out how many points he lost each day I can add them back in as an adjustment.

Looks like I didn't get Bucholz out of my starting lineup in time this morning and will go over in pitcher starts. Can someone please not count his points from tonight's game? Sorry - was traveling back from Chicago and lost all track of my team this weekend.

is the rule still that you're supposed to lose your best start if you accidentally go over?

because i hated that rule and i want to state i think it needs revisiting before i have a personal interest in it that kills my credibility on the matter; i don't see an issue with just making the last start invalid so long as it doesn't happen on like a weekly basis or whatever

i swear i had 270 points yesterday with no starts left, now i have 221 with only 6 starts made, and cj wilson in my lineup (which he wasn't supposed to be - i had put him on the bench). not sure what the deal is with that. did it take away all my points because i added my minor league pitcher (who i just drafted) but didn't put him in the minor leagues quickly enough?

I think it was changed to just losing your last start.

No it wasn't changed to this. It's that you lose your highest start. I guess I'm open to changing it, though I'm not really sure where I come down on it. I can see both sides.

Sounds likely. I don't know if the new system makes it harder to see what your roster looked like on prior days. But if you can do that and figure out the points you lost, we can add them back.

i also feel like it subtracted points for me having too many players on the bench, which i did so that i wouldn't go over the number of starts (which ended up happening anyway, because cj wilson somehow ended up playing for me today). but i should have this many points for the week, since i didn't make any position player adjustments:

yadier molina: 3.75

paul goldschmidt: 30

jason kipnis: 12

longoria: 18.25

lowrie: 16.5

granderson: 8.25

kemp: 20.75

trumbo: 8.50

martinez: 9.25

j benoit: 6.50

s miller: 21.50 (1 start)

sanchez: 30 (1 start)

shields: 42 (2 starts)

teheran: 41.5 (2 starts)

cj wilson: 35.5 (1 start)

that adds up to 304.25, i think. but at the very least, i need yesterday's stats added onto my score (they were definitely not added, because my weekly score only shows teheran and shields as having gotten one start each for the week - so both of their saturday starts were omitted).

saturday stats:

molina: 3.00

goldschmidt: 7.75

kipnis: 3.00

longoria: 3.00

lowrie: 0.25

granderson: 1.00

kemp: 7.75

trumbo: 2.75

martinez: 0.75

shields: 27.00

teheran: 21.50

if you can at least add in the saturday stats and subtract the cj wilson start today, i'll end up close to the score i was supposed to get, and win my match for the week.
