Here's the list of SS since 1920s, sorted by hits through age 24 (Castro's last season encompassed here).

He has a good chance of reaching 1,000 by the end of the 2015 season. Just 18 players since 1920 have had 1000 hits before turning 26, and only 5 SS (add Hornsby to the above). Castro obviously started at a young age but it's impressive company.
