It's like watching Sosa in his final years in Chicago.

If Baez's prime looks anything like Sosa's last few years with the Cubs... I'm pretty sure that would be like the best-case scenario for Baez's career.

I understand your line of thinking and don't necessarily disagree. However, as a SS he could add quite a bit of defensive value. Even at 2nd he probably can come close to that. It's not like he's Montanez and has to move to LF and still can't really add much offensively.

Agree. If he gets out there for a full season and doesn't fall flat on his face, 2.5 WAR is not a high target for him. He'd need three of those seasons for me to lose the bet.
