Sit Start Week 16

I am in a league where we start 2 qb's every week. Russell Wilson is normally my number 2 and he is playing at Arizona this week. Am I crazy for even wondering if I should start Clausen this week? Thought process is that Arizona is relatively tough on D and terrible on Offense, leaving Wilson to not have to score many points this week. Clausen may come in and have decent day as some backups have done this year (although he is playing against detroit), and that bears have been great at picking up garbage time points. I don't think I can put my hopes on Jimmy Clausen though.

 

The one time I benched wilson this year based on a matchup it was for Kirk Cousins who had been scoring higher than him for a few weeks only to have that be the week cousins gets benched after 6 points and Wilson went for 45.

So my opponent in the final had Cutler and no backup. Right after the announcement yesterday I stacked my bench with all the reasonably decent QB options on waivers. Leaving him to choose from the likes of Bridgewater, Orton and, of course, Clausen.

Haha totally fair. I stock up on D's mid season every year as I plan out my matchups and it also helps deter other teams from playing the waiver wire effectively at the end of the year. This is basically the same principal but 10x better.

Nice. I dropped some solid depth RB options, guys I would not have dropped three weeks ago. But I don't need them now.

 

Joke is gonna be on me though when he wins with Bridgewater or McCown at QB because he also has Bell, McCoy and Gronk.

Yea I imagine you had to go full tilt on that, but the risk is over a much shorter span. Is there a QB roster limit? I think all of our spots have a max in my league.

 

Frankly that guy was also dumb to not grab one contingency after Monday's game.

No, we don't have position roster limits. He has Alshon too, so Cutler being benched is a huge break.

 

Since this is the sit/start thread, Fred Jackson or Lamar Miller? That's really my only potential decision to make. I'm leaning Jackson.

This inspired me to check out my opponent. His only QB is Manning. I just stocked up on a few QB in case Manning gets hurt (didn't hurt my lineup at all). Also he has Arian Foster who I've had handcuffed most of the season.

Yeah that was my big thing, make sure I had Dalton in case I need to make a switch on Monday. Which is very unlikely but didn't want to get boned there.

Here's a fun question to be asking in the fantasy football finals:

 

Should I start C.J. Spiller, Hakeem Nicks or Stedman Bailey in my last Flex spot, assuming Hilton and D Hopkins are both out? I have Harry Douglas penciled into the other Flex spot because I'm presuming Julio Jones won't go.

 

And yes, I'm going to lose no matter what I do here.

Tough call. I am actually starting both of them. Demarco scares me this week. I feel like he will be limited, and subbed for quite a bit and that Joique will actually have the better day. However, if I were in your situation, I would probably start demarco because it would annoy me more to not go with my best player only to have him have a good day.

I'm going to lose in the finals because I didn't start Ryan Tannehill (35-some points) over Matt Ryan (19) and was forced to run Stedman [expletive] Bailey out because of all my WR injuries. Sometimes I wonder about fantasy...

Glad I went against my own gut and swapped in Lamar Miller for Fred Jackson.

 

But still, have work to do. Won one title. In my second league, need 28 from Peyton and J. Thomas. And in third, need 10 from D. Thomas (with PPR). Seems like all that should happen.
