And I don't know how anyone could dispute that Thibs relentless workloads for "his" guys have killed the Bulls at playoff time.

This theory has been trounced so many times it's not even funny. What's "killed" them in the playoffs under Thibs is Rose being dead.

I am curious, where has this been 'trounced'? I think having players that lead the league in minutes is going to lead to substantial wear and tear come playoff time. It's common sense unless I'm completely missing something.

You are; the Bulls haven't been hit by those sorts of injuries come playoff time. Thibs' usage didn't break Rose, didn't give Noah plantar fasciitis and didn't make Deng refuse to get surgery on his wrist. Those are the key injuries they suffered in the playoffs, and the latter two were just matters of whether the player could play through the pain or not; no amount of rest or fewer minutes would have fixed them.

It's a meatball excuse that's baffling because the real reason they haven't succeeded in the playoffs under Thibs is because their best player has missed some or all of them for three seasons in a row. Why glom on to something so dumb when the main reason is so glaringly obvious?

Until I see a conclusive prospective study that shows a hard minutes per game threshold leading to injury or diminished ability, I'm going to continue treating the mpg argument like Lisa's tiger rock.

Hey guys. Is Tony Snell possibly good at basketball?

For all the bitching I've done about McDermott not playing, Thibs' redshirt program seems to work out well for us.

Yeah, that's why I don't really bitch about it.

Thibs is a really good coach other than the playing one really crappy guard way too much-itis.

Relatively soft stretch coming up for the Bulls

@DET

PHX

MIL

CHA

MIN

followed by a tough stretch of LAC, WAS, and OKC.

Hopefully they don't pull any of the play down crap in those next 5 and run the win streak up to 9 (or at least something like 8 of 9). Yeah, yeah I know the Bucks and Suns are decent.

The Chicago Bulls are a VERY significant contender for Kendrick Perkins too, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Ugh. What the hell do we need another frontcourt guy for? Perkins is barely better than Nazr at this point.

Can't wait to see Hinrich and Perkins attempting to close out playoff games

The only use I see for Perkins is against the Wizards.

The trading deadline is passed. Bulls aren't getting Perkins.

If he gets bought out, the Bulls are one of the teams expected to make a push to sign him.

lmao perk is like the classic thibs player

for what it's worth, i did a total turnaround on him once he was removed from the starting lineup. he played really hard this year and he actually does do some little things that make a difference

he still can't catch the ball or jump tho
