1. Any ideas on replacing Bukie?

2. Are we just going to launch right into trading or wait until we have a full roster of managers?

It would be fair to wait...hopefully not too long.

keepers are due typically 2/15. But the last few seasons, abuck has had to state when trading can begin to make sure we're all waiting for managers to get filled up before trading.

so we have a full roster of managers now? I don't give a [expletive], start trading now if you want.

let's push roster deadline back a week to 2/21.

Can someone take a moment and post the draft order?

Also, when are we looking to do the major & minor league drafts?

Posted

I have no idea who I'm keeping, so I could take points or keepers or draft picks, but here's what's available. Included a keeper explanation at the bottom for the new guys. Feel free to ignore if it isn't helpful.

Last year's points (count toward the 2000 point limit for keepers)

Felix: 807

Brantley : 551

Arrieta: 520

Pence: 480.5

C Santana: 448

Liriano: 433

HRam: 360

Exempt players:

Carpenter: last exemption this year

Ryu: 2nd exemption this year

Roark: 2nd exemption this year

Calhoun: 2nd exemption this year

Wong: 2nd exemption this year

Pineda: 2nd exemption this year

Castellanos: first exemption this year

Odor: first exemption this year

Shoemaker: first exemption this year

K Vargas: first exemption this year

J Nelson: first exemption this year

Soler: ha [expletive] no

Counting exemptions: I think it's easier to understand if you see some examples. Limits are 50 PAs, 5 starts, or 10 total pitching appearances.

Carpenter is a good example. He didn't use an exemption in 2011 b/c he was under 50 PAs. He used his first exemption after the 2012 season. He used his second after the 2013 season. So he's using his 3rd and final exemption after last year. So his points last year won't count toward the 2000 cap for keepers.

Ryu used his first after 2013 and his second this year, after 2014. So he's exempt this year and will be exempt next off-season.

Note that a guy can use an exemption, but still be kept as a minor leaguer. Soler had more than 50 PAs, so he'll use his first exemption this year. But he's under 200 ABs, so I can keep him as a minor leaguer rather than as one of my 10 keepers.

FYI - Cespedes is also exempt one more time (he's been in the league just 3 years, so this year is his last exemption).

did the cbs overhaul actually...improve the site? [expletive] me, it may just have

Holy crap, it looks like a modern website.

Also, who do I send the check to and how much?

Me, but payment is voluntary. I'll write off the leftover expense on taxes.

yes but there are some changes (like it's now a daily roster and lineup changes league).

How does that compare to a few years ago?

Prior rules only allowed you to make changes for certain reasons (injury, benching, etc). Now you can do whatever you want with your lineup during each week and waivers run instantly on each dropped player.

Let's pick a start date for the draft, given that it usually takes a couple weeks to get through it all
