If you gotta settle for either I'd rather get Qdoba. Chipotle is [expletive] stingy with the cheese, plus Qdoba has better (and hotter) salsas.

They'll put on as much cheese as you want. Just ask them.

It's the principle of the thing. I'm a large man and I am ordering a large burrito; of course I want more than a measly pinch of cheese.

And Qdoba has queso, which aids in my quest to turn my blood into liquid cheese. Better chips, too.

Chipotle naked burrito bowls are the best fast healthy food of all time. ~$9 for double meat delicious goodness.

Qdoba's saving grace nowadays is their Mexican gumbo. Their queso is terrible, but it beats Chipotle's lack of queso.

When I am eating a Qdoba burrito, I often feel like I should just puncture it with a straw and imbibe the contents like a minute-maid orange juice commercial. Magnificent sloppiness.

Qdoba has better chips and cheese, imo. The local qdoba seems a lot cleaner than the local chipotle too.

Its kind of messed up that on the way home I went by mcdonalds too to get a sweet tea to complete the meal. don't judge me.

Yeah, this. It's totally made up in my dumb stupid brain for jerks, by Chipotle has this lame "we're the better fast food alternative" vibe where it's like they're foisting on us that they're the healthier option (ie-God help you if you ask for lettuce in that thing because they're go-to move is to pack that mother with maximum lettuce). If I want a burrito I want a big, fat, sloppy burrito, dammit.

I've had Chipotle once in my life and I remember it was decent, but don't remember how good. Qdoba is below average, but $5 Burrito Friday and close walking distance from work wins out. I really like Moe's though.

Guys, we're talking super shitty national chains, not bumpkin huts that only exist in godforsaken Schaumburg and Rockford. There's a zillion better options than Chipotle and Qdoba, but we're talking in terms of the laziest convenience.

Not really. Chipotle is really high quality food and assuming you order the right things you can't get much healthier in terms of something you can go pick up for lunch.

And Pancheros is a shitty regional chain. I know they have them in Iowa City and there was one near Oak Brook that closed years ago.

It's not nearly as readily available as Chipotle and Qdoba. It's like, I dunno, throwing Checkers in to a comparison between McDonald's & Burger King.

Where do you live, Antisaladandia?

Chipotles salads are amazing. That vinaigrette is sooooo good .

A salad or bowl is exactly what I get. With good quality naturally raised chicken and all locally grown vegetables if you care about crap like that (I don't really, but it tastes good and the macros are good).
