There are things with bullpen management, line-up construction, and, mainly, bunting that I haven't been a fan of, but the main thing we were looking for was someone to help Rizzo and Castro (and other youngsters) develop. I'm not sure how much of that credit really goes to him, but those two have certainly been much improved. And, the other stuff hasn't been as much of a concern, now that we have weeded out a lot of the terrible players. I hope some of the things he has done to try to manufacture runs won't be employed when we have a better offense.

Passing grade, with room for improvement.

I voted yes, but I don't expect him to be around next season.

I think they want him to help break the kids into the majors. Then they'll bring someone else in to get them to the next level.

I think they're smart enough to realize that managers don't get you to the next level and that if they don't need anybody to scapegoat (which is hopefully going to be the case) then he'll be here.

I can't imagine them trying to get away with blaming another manager for major league shortcomings unless he goes into open rebellion.
