I'll take McDermott who can be a historically good shooter than just another decent swingman type (Hood, Young, Harris, etc)

Yeah I agree with this. I don't know if McDermott was the best pick available, but I am more excited for him than the people you mentioned. I was going to say in my original post that Harris seems like a guy that is just there and you don't really notice him--I even felt like that a lot when he was in college. 35% 3-pt percentage in college last year? McDermott was .458 for his career. And Harris seems like he needs to come off a screen to get a shot. McDermott isn't just a spot of shooter. He can create shots from post up positions and he has [expletive] you range where he can pull up from anywhere and hit a 3. He doesn't remind me of Adam Morrison. He has more of an old man game that still works even if you aren't as athletic. I am fine with the trade.

Feel bad for him, but also very fortunate that it was detected early instead of too late.

 

Agreed but with deerhunter and Abe Lincoln he's in solid company.

Get rid of Simmons and Rose. Simmons is such a homer and Rose screams random things like he has a touch of Tourette's. I imagine that after that draft coverage Bilas wants to inject heroin into his forehead.
