Hopefully Chris Williams returns soon and can be a competent returner.

 

I catch myself wishing they had drafted DeAnthony Thomas over Kadeem Carey.

Yeah, especially since Draughn looks capable and DAT took the first ball he touched to the house.

Sucks for him. I believe he missed half the 2011 season and the entire 2012 season with injuries and then didnt make whatever team he was with out of camp in 2013.

Interesting signing. May mean Wilson is out til closer to mid season, which would suck. Then again could be a 2-week tryout for Holmes. The Bears were sitting at 26 to draft Holmes in 2006, but the Steelers traded up with the Giants to get him. The Bears then traded down and drafted Danieal Manning. If the Bears had drafted Holmes, their 2nd second round pick that year would probably never been a Bear......his name, Devin Hester.

Jay wasn't too happy with Weems at all on Thursday night...nevermind the returning issues. For whatever reason, the Bears haven't been inclined to give Morgan a shot. They probably just feel like they don't have a lot to lose here. If he pans out, you don't have to rush Wilson back...and even when he's ready, then you have a lot of WR depth. If he's a problem, this surely isn't a substantial deal...so easy to get out of. No big risk here.

Isn't Josh Morgan facing a potential suspension from his arrest in the spring? Could be a reason the Bears aren't giving him a shot. Could be way off though.

 

Like the Holmes signing overall. Relatively low rick, high reward potential if he's healthy and out of trouble.

The drafted part I knew, the better part I wasn't positive on.

 

I know Way has been around for a few years though and nothing has come of it here or anywhere else so that's probably all the writing on the wall needed.

 

why run the risk of losing O'Donnell when you can pick Way up at any time during the season. O'Donnell would be signed immediately.

Has till like November to complete community service that would wipe the charge and keep him on the field. I don't think that's the issue here, the Bears just don't seem that high on him.

 

Cutting Weems for Holmes makes me a happy man. If healthy, he's still 30 and should have a little bit left. Although the fact that he was unemployed is obviously a bit of a red flag. Like was said though, almost no risk.

 

Chris Williams needs to be the KR/PR. Hopefully the hammy is coming along.
