I'm not watching but I assume Wootton is predominantly in the middle meaning the only available DEs are Peppers, McClellin and Bass.

We're approaching the 3-4 by necessity zone

Given the number of defensive free agents, LB depth and Mel Tucker's experience with the 3-4, I think they make the switch this offseason.

We don't have anyone on the roster except Shea (I guess) to run the 3-4

No NT but Paea, Melton and Wootton would be DEs.

I hate feeling helpless with this defense, there is nothing there to stop NYG, except Eli's mistakes.

This reminds me of some of the games the 2009 Bears played where you just gave up all hope of the defense stopping them.

This season feels like it's going to be super anti-climactic with how horrendous the defense has looked to this point. Not cool.

Luckily after tonight, they'll only have one game (Wash) over the next 24 days so it'll give them a chance to get healthy.

I wish I could tell how much of it is injuries, how much is the defense aging, and how much is the new defensive staff.

Getting Paea and Tillman will help but if they're not getting pressure, there's not much help on the way.

2 of 3, the injuries is just making the age look worse especially since it involves Tillman with both.

System is the same minus minor wrinkles.

Is it wrong that I'm hoping Peppers has been hampered with injuries throughout the year and it'll help.

ive been thinking it for awhile, but i cant imagine they have the cap room?

He wants $5M supposedly. They have $3M cap space. Hopefully he comes down from that request.
