That whole 'you can't review out-of-bounds outside the 5-yard line' thing is absolutely terrible. Would've been interested to see if NC State could keep it up had that TD run been reviewed and overturned. But they fumbled the ball to Clemson a few plays later and the Tigers scored on the ensuing drive, so that was the end of that.

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster says in an upcoming documentary he accepted money his senior year at Tennessee.

 

"Honestly, I don't know if this will throw us into an NCAA investigation, but my senior year I was getting money on the side," Foster says in the EPIX documentary. "I really didn't have any money. I had to either pay the rent or buy some food. I remember the feeling, like, 'Man, be careful,' but there's nothing wrong with it. You're not going to convince me that there is something wrong with it."

 

 

at this point maybe we should just start to count the number of ncaa football programs that AREN'T blatantly breaking ncaa rules.

I think I saw mention on Twitter that it does, but as college kids are wont to do, that money wasn't spent in the most responsible of ways. I don't think there's a single major conference football player that doesn't have the resources for more than sufficient housing and nutrition on their scholarship alone.

Florida A&M got flagged for delay of game on the first play. Their punter is so incompetent it took the announcers three replays to realize the punt wasn't blocked, just awful.

It was played in Foxboro at Gillette, but I'm not quite sure. Both are big academic schools, maybe there's more to that relationship.
