Also, if the spot is changed and its 4th down, the vikings will just do a QB sneak and get the 1st anyways.

the problem is, ponder reaches out with the ball, but then gets hit back slightly and you see him go out of bounds short of the marker. But forward progress makes it seem like he got it, or its too close to overturn.

OK, you can say he won't be successful. But don't say that's a "bad challenge." It's clearly worth a try. Ball came out clearly short of the marker, and there are pretty good angles.

 

He may lose it, but it's not bad to challenge this.
